Vegetable Pakora
Pakora is an item in South Asian cuisine,prepared by adding ingredients such as onion,eggplant,lentils,potato,spinach,cauliflower and chili,dipping them in a batter of gram flour and then deep-frying them.Pakoras are usually served as snacks with Coffee and tea.
Ingredients
Besan-1 cup
(kadala maavu )
Rice flour-1/4 cup
Oil for frying
Garam Masala-1 tsp
Salt as required
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Cumin seed powder-1 tsp
Chopped Green Chilli-1
Potato-1,Cut into very thin slices
Cauliflower-1,Cut into small florets
Onion-1,Cut into very thin slices
Chopped Spinach leaves as required.
Red chilly powder-1/2 tsp
How to prepare
1)Mix Besan,Garam masala,coriander,cumin seed powder,chopped
Spinach leaves,green chilli,red chilly powder, water and salt
as required and mix it well.keep it aside for some time.
2)Add chopped vegetables to the batter and mix it well.
3)Heat oil in a deep frying pan,once the oil is hot enough
fry the vegetables,until they turn golden brown.
4)Remove them and place them on a papper towel to drain.
Vegetable pakora is ready to be served.
