Semiya Payasam - Vermicelli Kheer
Semiya payasam is a dessert which is used commonly in south india for a sweet ending to any meal.Kheer is derived from the Sanskrit
word “Ksheer” which means Milk.
Ingredients
Vermicelli-1 cup
Milk-1 litre
Sugar-1 cup
Cashews and Raisins
Ghee-2 tsp
Cardamom pods-2
How to Prepare
1)Heat ghee in a pan,add vermicelli to it ,fry it till it is
light brown in colour.
2)Boil milk and stir it continuously for some time,add
semiya to it,reduce the flame and cook it for atleast 10
minute.
3)Add sugar to it and mix it well,add crushed cardamom and
remove it from fire.
4)Heat ghee in a pan,add cashews and raisins to it and fry
until golden brown in colour.
5)Garnish it with fried cashews and raisins.
Semiya payasam is ready to be served.
