Pulissery-Moru Kulambu

Pulissery or Mor Kulambu is a favourite dish served with Rice.
This is a traditional dish of Kerala and Tamilnadu.

Ingredients

1)Curd/Yogurt/Butter milk-1 cup
2)Cumin Seeds- 1/2 tsp
3)Grated Cocunut-1/2 cup
4)Vegetable Oil-4 tsp
5)Black Pepper Powder -a pinch
6)Mustard Seeds-1 tsp
7)Red chillies -2
8)Salt as required
9)Turmeric powder - a pinch
10)Green Chili-1
11)Cucumber-1/2(optional)
12)Curry leaves to garnish.

How to Prepare

1)Add 1/4 cup water to the yogurt,Pour this into a mixer and
mix it well.
2)Boil Cucumber with salt in water,keep it aside.
3)Grind the grated coconut with the cumin seeds to a
fine paste.
4)Mix Cucumber and Coconut paste to yogurt(mentioned in step 1)
add turmeric powder and salt to it.
5)Boil it for a few minutes and Turn off the gas.
6)Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds and red chillies
7)When it starts popping add green chilli and saute it for a while.
Add this to yogurt mix(mentioned in Step 5)
8)Garnish it with Curry leaves.

Pulissery is ready to be served.
