Pav Bhaji
Pav Bhaji is a fast food dish native to Maharashtra and is popular in most metropolitan areas in India. It’s a favorite party dish. Pav means Bread and Bhaji means the Vegetable dish served along with bread.
Ingredients
1.Potatoes -5 large finely chopped
2.Cauliflower 1 -finely chopped
3.Frozen green peas 2 cups
4.salt to taste
5.water 1 cup
6.Oil 2 tsp
7.Butter 2 tsp
8.Cumin seeds 1 tsp
9.Asafoetida(kayam)-a pinch
10.turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
11.chilli powder 1/2 tsp
12.onions 2 medium chopped
13.Garlic paste 4 tsp
14.Ginger paste 4 tsp
15.Tomotoes 2 choped
16.Tomoto sauce 8 ounce
17.Pav bhaji masala to taste
18.coriander powder 2 tsp
19.Lemon juice to taste
20.cilantro leaves to Garnish
21.Bread to serve
How to Prepare
1.Crush potatoes,add salt and 1/2 cup water,cook it well.
2.Take Cauliflower,green peas,and water in a separate vessel and cook it.
3.Heat oil in a Pan ,add 2 tsp butter.
4.Add Cumin seeds,Asafoetida,turmeric powder,red chilly powder and mix well.
5.Add Chopped onions,Saute it for a while and then add ginger,garlic and chopped tomato.
6.After 2 minutes,add tomato Sauce.
7.Add Pav bhaji masala,coriander powder and mix it well,Add water as required while heating.
8.Add 2 tsp lemon juice.
9.Use any kind of Bread(Pav) to serve with Bhaji,Heat the bread in a pan with oil and Butter.
Pav Bhaji is ready to be served.
