Palak Paneer
Ingredients
1)Paneer cut into small cubes-1 cup
2)Spinach/Palak as required
3)Chopped onion-1 no
4)Chopped Tomato-1 no
5)Coriander powder-1 tsp
6)Turmeric Powder-a pinch
7)Red chili powder-1 tsp
8)Cumin Powder-1 tsp
9)Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
10)Chopped green chillies-2
11)Salt to taste
12)Cinnamon-1 stick
13)Fenugreek leaves-1/4 tsp
14)Cream-1/4 cup
15)Cardamom-2
16)Cloves -2
17)Oil
How to Prepare
1)Heat water in a vessel and when it starts boiling add spinach to it
and cook for 1-2 minutes.In a mixer grind it to a paste.keep it aside.
2)Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan,when it is hot,add the spices like
cardamoms,cloves,cinnamon and fry it for some time,add onion to it,
add some salt and saute it till it is light brown in colour,add ginger
garlic paste,stir it,add tomatoes and cook it till the tomatoes are
mashed,add coriander powder,red chilli powder,fenugreek leaves,
cumin powder add green chilli,saute it.
3)Add palak/spinach paste to to the above and cook it till there is
little oil left add paneer to it and mix it well and cook it for
few minutes add cream to thicken the gravy,mix it well.
Palak Paneer is ready to be served.
