Okra in yogurt
Ingredients
1)Yogurt-2 1/2 cup
2)Gram Flour-5 tsp
3)Chopped ginger-2 tsp
4)Chopped green chili-1 tsp
5)Okra(small)-20 no
6)Salt to taste
7)Sugar-3 tsp
8)Ghee-2 tsp
9)Cloves-10
10)Fenugreek seeds-1 1/2 tsp
11)Cumin seeds-1 tsp
12)Asafoetida-1/4 tsp
13)Curry leaves
How to Prepare
1)Whisk the yogurt and add the gram flour.Mix well with four cups of water.
2)Puree the ginger and chili together.Wash the okra and trim the stem to minimum.
3)Bring the yogurt mixture to boil and add the ginger and green chili puree,sugar,salt to
taste and okra.
4)Heat ghee in a pan,when it is hot,fry the cloves,the fenugreek and cumin seeds,saute it for
a minute and remove it from flame and add asafoetida.
5)Add the above(Step 4) to the yogurt mixture,add the curry leaves. Cook until the okras are tender
