Mulaku Bajji - Chili Bajji
This is a delicious snack for those of you who enjoy the heat of green chillies.
Ingredients
1)Mulaku(Long Green chilies)-5 no
2)Chaat Masala(optional)-2 tsp
3)Besan(Kadala Mavu/Gram Flour)-1/2 cup
4)Chili powder-1 tsp
5)Baking Soda- a pinch
6)Salt as required
7)Oil for deep frying
8)Turmeric Powder-a pinch
9)Garam Masala-1/4 tsp
10)Kayam (Asafoetida) -a pinch
How to prepare
1)Wash and drain the chilies,make a partial lengthwise slit in each Mulaku/long green chilli using knife.
2)Mix besan with salt,chilli powder,turmeric powder,baking soda,garam masala,kayam(asafoetida),chaat masala make it into a paste.
3))Heat oil in a pan,when oil is ready for frying,dip one chilli in the gram flour batter to coat well on all sides. Put it into the oil andĀ fry till golden all over turning ocassionally.Remove and drain onĀ paper towels.Fry remaining chilies in the same way.
Mulaku Bajji is ready to be served.
