Kichadi
Kichadi is a Keralite dish(south India)made of curd and cucumber in raw or cooked form.Kichadi is often served as part of the Sadhya(feast).
Ingredients
1)Cucumber(Vellarikka)-1(small size)
2)Grated Coconut-1/2 cup
3)Green chillies-3
4)Curd-1 cup
5)Mustard Seeds-1 tsp
6)Red chillies-2
7)Curry leaves
8)Salt as required
How to prepare
1)Cook the Cucumber(peeled and cut into very small pieces)along
with some water,green chili and salt.
2)Grind grated coconut and mustard seeds.
3)Add this ground paste to cucumber and cook it for 5 minutes
mix it with the curd,add salt,Turn off the gas after 2 min.
4)Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds to it and when it
starts popping,add red chilli to it.
5)Garnish it with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
Kichadi is ready to be served.
