Kadala curry
This dish can be served with Puttu,Appam,Roti or Naan.
Ingredients
1)Black Chana-1 cup
2)Onion-1 nos
3)Tomato-1 nos
4)Green chili- 1 nos
5)Grated Coconut -1/2 cup
6)Ginger Garlic paste-1/3 tsp
7)Chili powder-1 tsp
8)Coriander powder-1 tsp
9)Cinnamon-1/2 stick
How to prepare
1)Soak chana overnight.
2)Pour 3 cup of water in a pressure cooker,add chana and salt,cook till it becomes soft.
3)Grind the grated coconut to a thick paste and keep it aside.
4)Heat oil in a pan,saute the onion and tomato.
5)Add green chili,coriander powder,Red chili powder,ginger garlic paste,garam masala and cinnamon stick to it.
6)Grind this to a fine paste,(Excluding green chili)Add this paste
to Chana.
7)Add coconut paste with this and mix it.
8)Add salt and water and boil it for some time.
Kadala curry is ready to be served.
