Fried Banana-Pazham Pori-Ethakka Appam
Ethakka Appam,Pazham(banana)Boli or Pazham Pori is a term used for fried plantain in the southern Indian state of Kerala.It is a very popular snack among Keralites.
Ingredients
1)Banana(Ripe Plantain)-3 Nos
2)Maida(All purpose flour)-3 tsp
3)Turmeric Powder-A pinch
4)Vegetable oil
5)Rice Flour(optional)
6)Oil for frying
7)Salt-A pinch
Method of Preparation.
1)Mix Maida,Rice flour,sugar,salt and turmeric powder.
2)Peel and cut the ripe plaintain into 2 pieces and cut it
into thin slices lengthwise.
3)Heat Oil in a frying pan,dip the slices of banana into the batter,fry on medium heat till it turns golden brown.
4)Remove and drain on paper towels.
