Chinese Hot and Sour soup
Hot and sour soup set off sharp flavours with ingredients in
an unexpected way.Light soups are cooked quickly so that the
colour and texture of the ingredients are retained.
Ingredients
1)Black Mushroom-4
2)Pork-2 oz
3)Tofu-1 cake
4)Egg-1
5)Water-1/4 cup
6)Pepper Powder-1 tsp
7)Lily buds-8 nos
8)Water-6 cup
9)Salt to taste
10)Sugar-1 tsp
11)Soy sauce-2 tsp
12)Rice Vinegar-2 tsp
13)Red wine vineger-2 tsp
14)Sesame oil-2 tsp
15)Corn flour -1 tsp
16)canned sliced bamboo shoots-1/2 cup
For marinanting
Corn flour-2 tsp
Soy sauce-1 tsp
Sesame oil-1/2 tsp
How to Prepare
1)Mix pork with corn flour,soy sauce and sesame oil and marinate
it for an hour.
2)Mix corn flour with water and keep it aside.
3)Soak mushrooms in hot water for about 25 minutes,cut it into
small pieces.
4)Soak lily buds in hot water for about 20 minutes,cut off the hard parts.
5)Heat water and when it starts boiling add mushrooms,bamboo shoots,
lily buds,tofu and stir it well for 3 minutes.
6)Add marinated pork to the above,add soy sauce,sesame oil,rice vineger,
salt,red wine vineger,sugar,pepper and corn flour,stir it well.
7)Reduce the heat and simmer for 2 minutes,remove it from fire.
8)Slowly add beaten egg,stirring while it is being added
Hot and Sour soup is ready to be served.
